disadvantaged children in our community.

We operate six Boys & Girls Clubs in the
Jackson area and a camp facility near Hazlehurst. As you can
imagine, our expenses are high. There are daily snacks for
thousands of kids. Books and educational materials. Computers.
Art supplies. Sports equipment. And that’s just the fun stuff.
Don’t forget insurance, staff salaries, 7 facilities to
maintain, transportation and fuel . . . You get the picture.
We have thousands of kids who depend on us. For more than 70
years, we have been helping at-risk children become successful
adults through our broad spectrum of programs. Our members
desperately need a safe place to come after school and during
the summer while their parents are at work.
We’re open 240 days per year, including from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
in the summer. We charge members only $25 per year, but it costs
us about $500 per year to provide services to one member.
Just as we hold our Clubs, our staff, and our youth development
programs to strict accountability standards, we expect and
welcome donor scrutiny to assure we are good stewards of
resources. We believe transparency lets you see our success.
