Ways You
Can Help Us
Make Our Community Stronger
We all want to
live in a healthy, thriving community. One of the most effective
ways to improve our community is to take care of our youth,
especially the ones who need help the most.
Here at the
Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi, we serve more
than 3,200 youth who spend nearly 750,000 hours at our
facilities each year taking part in youth development activities that
prepare them for success.
We need your help, and there are many ways you can make a
difference:
1. Sponsor and/or attend our big fall event, Blues by
Starlight. Learn more at

Our Children's Futures & Our
Community's Welfare
In February
of 2009, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi
announced a fundraising campaign to raise the $500,000 needed to
keep open all six of its clubs in the Central Mississippi area.
Thanks to outpouring of generosity
for the community and great assistance from Governor Haley Barbour,
we were able to reach our goal and keep open all 6 Clubs.
Now, we continue to need the
community to invest in an organization that pays big dividends.
BGCCM
President/CEO, Billy Redd, said that
during the campaign, he repeatedly had calls about opening
additional Boys & Girls Clubs in Jackson.
"The need in our area is great. There are so many children we are
not yet reaching. The call from the community has been for us to
expand into new areas. To do so, we will need the community to
invest in our organization and support us," Redd said.

You can sign up for
automatic, monthly bank draft that will help ensure the organization
can continue in its mission.
"Whether it's five dollars, fifty dollars, or five hundred dollars,
the investment in our organization will have immediate and long-term
tangible results in the lives of the disadvantaged youth we serve.
Our programs also reduce the youth crime rate and contribute to the
economic development of the area because more at-risk youth are
staying on the right track and going on to college or entering the
workforce as responsible, productive citizens," Redd said.
